Read through the information on our Workshop Program page to get an idea of what we do in the program. Then get in touch with one of our team to have a chat as see if we think the program is suitable for your needs. If it looks like it will be a good match, we would arrange a time for you to come onsite and meet the team and plan the next steps.

How do I get a Total Mobility Card?

Read through the information on our Total Mobility page, which outlines the process clearly. If you think you meet the criteria, then get in touch with one of our team to make an in-person assessment appointment.

Who can participate in your transition program?

Our program is aimed at people with intellectual, cognitive or neurodivergent differences. If you are unsure if it will be suitable for your abilities the first step is to get in touch with one of our team to discuss the program and your needs, and possible next steps.

Is there a trial option for the workshop program?

Yes, we have a structured trial process to make sure that the program is a good fit for every person involved. Our team can discuss this with you in more detail over the phone.

What days and times does the work program run?

Our workshop program runs during the week. The days and hours worked can be tailored to the needs of each work and are also based on availability of spaces in the program each day.

How old do you need to be to participate in the programs?

Generally you will need to be over 18 years old. However, if you are aged between 16 - 18 years you can participate in our transition program in certain circumstances. Please contact our team to find out more.

What is the criteria to enrol in the Retail Savvy Program?

Because the program is based in a retail environment, in order to succeed, each trainee must have a set of skills in numeracy, literacy, technology and communication. This is assessed on an individual basis. Please get in touch with our team to find out more.

How do the workers get to the program?

So some members catch the bus, others are dropped off by a family member, support worker or service - like Driving Miss Daisy or a Taxi company. Our team can discuss the options with you and your support person to see if there is a suitable option for you. It is up to each person to manage their transport to and from DCS when they are working with us.
